Student’s reflections – 4A Ng Po Shing Roy, Vice English Ambassador

English Week was held successfully. I took part in promoting the activities, hosting the Form 4 inter-class mini-play competition, preparing materials for the ‘Zombies’ Games and organizing the Barter Game. I have learnt some useful skills, such as how to communicate effectively with my fellow schoolmates. Also, English Week has provided me with ample opportunities to speak English. Masterminding the activities in English Week, Miss Wong and Miss Sung should be highly appreciated. English Week could not have been held that successfully without them. Candice, Winnie, Caroline, Judy, Iris, Brian, Stephanie, Yola and all English Ambassadors did a very great job in English Week, and I'm so glad that I have these good teammates!

To me, this was the last chance of holding an English Week in my secondary school life. Although all of us were exhausted, we did enjoy ourselves very much. Miss Wong has taught me a lot these two weeks, and I'm really thankful. English Week is truly an unforgettable experience in my life!

Student’s reflections – 4A Tse Kai Hong Henry, English Ambassador

English week was really a good experience for me. During the week, we did lots of promotion to tell our fellow schoolmates about all the fun games. Our days were busy but fruitful. We helped in the morning assembly, lunchtime activities and performed on stage after school. Participating in a wide variety of activities, our schoolmates were more used to speaking English.

There were numerous amusing events held in English week. I like Barter Game most because I could see different interesting items. I would like to thank all teachers and students who participated in the games. Without their support, English Week wouldn’t have been so successful. If I could hold English Week again, I would definitely like to have Barter Game again. Perhaps we would list the rules on the board and show the rules in a more obvious place so that students can see the rules more clearly. It was great since everyone was engaged in this game and felt happy to use English to communicate. I really enjoyed myself in a language rich environment.

Student’s reflections – 5A Ng Tsz Wai Nadia, English Ambassador

I helped organize the stall ‘Plickers’. I have learnt problem-solving skills from ‘Plickers’ because of the ‘crowd’. There were far more participants than expected coming to our stall, and we needed to act first and give each of them an iPad to finish the mission as soon as possible. If I could organize the ‘Plickers’ again, I would check the iPads more carefully to make sure all iPads function properly.

I like the Barter Game very much, and I would like to say thank you to Miss Wong and Miss Sung, who organized this intriguing English Week for us. I really enjoyed it.
