視覺藝術科課程特色 Visual Arts Curriculum
藝術與設計溢滿我們的日常生活,以創作作品的形式,把生活中的想法具象地表達。過程中,學生的觀察力、創造力及表達能力亦能得到提升。
初中的視藝課程強調「多元化」,學生能夠在課堂嘗試不同的藝術媒介,發掘專長。而創作主題則圍繞學生的生活經驗及感受,將視覺藝術知識及創作技巧的教學融入課程單元,提升學生的創作動機。而高中設有視覺藝術科,供有意於創意產業發展的同學修讀。課程同時開設「卷一:以視覺形式表達主題」及「卷二:設計」,有效照顧不同能力及興趣的學生,亦為有意於創意工業發展事業的同學提供銜接階梯。
課程以外,本科積極與校外機構及藝術團體合作,讓對藝術感興趣的同學能作更多嘗試。例如,於2021至2023兩個年度參與了由香港賽馬會舉辦的「手作確幸.青年工藝教育計劃」,讓學生的陶泥作品被帶進手作市集,把創作面向大眾。其他的工作坊如流體畫、中國書法及水泥工藝等,都能豐富學生的藝術體驗。
本科同時致力推動正向教育,把當中理念轉化為題材,融入課程。每次的創作會伴隨著一個互賞活動,同學除了檢視自己的創作策略外,亦為同學提供建議及作出評賞,達致友伴同行。本科的目標在於積極協助同學累積更多成功經驗,除鼓勵學生參加各類型的創作比賽,亦致力開拓更多可展示學生創作過程及作品的空間,既能讓學生的努力被看見及肯定,亦有助學生建立信心,設定更具挑戰性的目標。
Visual Arts Curriculum
Art and design pervade our daily lives, and the circulation of information and the fast-paced development of civilization constantly inspire our creative minds. In visual arts, students can convey their personal feelings in the form of creative works. Students’ observation, imagination, and expression skills can all benefit from the process.
The junior secondary visual arts curriculum focuses on “diversity”, so students can experiment with various art media in the classroom to realize their full potential. All topics are based on students’ personal experiences and feelings, and it incorporates visual art knowledge and creative skills into the curriculum to stimulate their creativity. Moreover, the course emphasizes on students’ ability to appraise artwork. In the student-centered lessons, students can share with other students the art they have discovered in their daily lives, in addition to comprehending traditional masterpieces. Our senior secondary curriculum also offers visual arts as a HKDSE elective for students interested in working in the creative industry. To cater for students with various learning abilities and styles, we offer both “Paper 1: Visual presentation of a theme” and “Paper 2: Design”.
Additionally, our school actively collaborates with various institutions and organizations to organize workshops for students. Students will also visit exhibitions to enrich their artistic experiences.
The curriculum is dedicated to promoting positive education by incorporating related values into students’ learning experiences. Apart from reviewing their skills, students appraise and evaluate their classmates’ work. We encourage students to engage in a wide variety of competitions and provide opportunities for students to display their creative processes and artwork. Therefore, students can gain more successful experiences and more recognition, which assist them in achieving greater success in the future.
