Form 3 Inter-class Healthy Drink/Dessert-making Competition

Description:

The Form 3 Inter-class Healthy Drink/Dessert-making Competition was held on 23rd May 2017 at the Cookery Room. During the competition, groups of F.3 students representing their own classes were required to make a drink or dessert that was not only delicious, but also healthy within 45 minutes. After that, each of the participating groups was given 2 minutes to introduce their drinks or desserts to three judges including Ms. Chow Shuk Yin, Ms. Hui Yuk Ming and Mr. Choi Yuen Nang coming from English, Home Economics and Biology Departments respectively. Their expertise in the concerned fields was of great use in deciding the best dessert/drink that comprised both health-boosting and delectable elements. As preparation for the competition, all Form 3 students had been asked to design a healthy menu which encompassed not only the healthy drink/dessert they used as the entry for the competition, but also a main course and appetizer. The aim of the competition was to provide students with chances to apply the knowledge they had acquired in Biology, English and Home Economics lessons in their daily lives.
