After taking part in this English drama competition, I think that there were a lot of things we need to improve on because there were many strong contestants in the competition. In fact, I think we did a pretty good job this time, given that there were some groupmates who had never joined this kind of competition before. I think it was a challenge for them, but finally they performed very well. Moreover, as it was an improvised drama competition, we just had four to five days to create and practise two dramas based on the two topics given. Although we might not be creative enough, we cooperated with each other to perform good dramas. In the end, the drama we performed on that day turned out to be quite satisfactory. Although we were not the champion, I think we showed our best to the judges. Everyone in our team is good at acting and we did a great job. We have to thank our teacher for giving us this opportunity to take part in the competition. We have learnt a lot from this experience, and I am glad to have a chance to learn to cooperate with a team of 6 schoolmates.

It was not an easy competition, as time was limited, and it was full of surprises, but it was great fun.
`How do you feel after joining the competition?’ I was asked after the competition. The first thing I would like to say is, I actually felt pretty nervous before and during the competition. Why? Well, we only got only one-week preparation time! A WEEK! and we only got 3 hours to practise during the week and had to work on TWO dramas. When we started to think about the script for the first drama, there were only 5 days left. When we were practising the script for the first drama, we always thought, ‘oh! Did I read the right line? Did I take the right move?’ Apparently, we did. But we always thought about it anyway.
There were a number of unexpected things on the day of the competition. When we arrived at the theatre, I BECAME THE LEADER… just because my name begins with C, which made me come first on the list of our team. I was extremely shocked and confused at that moment. However, did it matter a lot? No, I don't think so, because I was only required to do something simple, like raising a cardboard for my team to answer questions during the break time, and randomly picking a topic out of the two given ones from an envelope. Besides, I think we got the unluckiest number in the competition. We were team number 6, which means we were the last group before the break, so we could not rest well and were very nervous that we might forget our lines.
In the end, everything turned out to be quite good. We were satisfied that we got the third prize in the competition.
